What a WooCommerce migration plan covers
We start with what your WordPress site actually does: products, variations and attributes, plugins, subscriptions, customer accounts, and the pages and posts that bring in traffic. Each part gets a decision: move it, rebuild it on Shopify, replace it with an app, keep it in WordPress or retire it. Then follow the URL map and redirects, the migration of products, customers and orders, tracking and feeds, and QA on real processes, from checkout to renewals.

What moves from WooCommerce, and how
WooCommerce and Shopify structure a shop differently. We map every part to its Shopify counterpart before anything is imported:
Variable products move as products with variants. Shopify allows three options per product, so extra attributes become metafields or separate products.
Attributes and custom fields become metafields, with the storefront filters rebuilt on top of them.
Customer accounts, addresses and order history move. Passwords cannot be imported, so we plan activation emails or passwordless login.
Subscriptions move to a subscription app, with a plan per payment provider for stored payment details.
Pages and blog posts move to Shopify, or stay in WordPress if that serves your content team better.
Jansen Holland moved from WooCommerce to Shopify with us. Their review in the Shopify Partner Directory: “Our migration from WooCommerce to Shopify was handled smoothly and professionally, with excellent support throughout the process.” High Clean also moved from WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify with us; its store now runs in eleven languages.

Plugins and integrations
A WooCommerce shop is often a stack of plugins: subscriptions, B2B, multi-currency, search, reviews and shipping. Each one gets a decision: covered by Shopify itself, replaced by an app, rebuilt as a custom app, or retired. Fewer moving parts is usually the biggest gain of the move.
Connections with ERP, WMS, accounting and marketing tools get the same treatment: for each one we define the data owner, sync frequency and error handling, and test it before launch. See Shopify integrations.
WooCommerce URLs, content and SEO
WooCommerce URLs such as /product/ and /product-category/ become /products/ and /collections/ on Shopify, and blog posts move to /blogs/. That makes the redirect map the most important SEO deliverable of the project:
We crawl every indexable URL, including blog posts, tag and category archives and paginated pages.
Each old URL goes to its closest new page, never to the homepage by default.
Content, metadata and internal links move along, or are improved on purpose.
Posts that bring in traffic keep their text and their links to products.
After launch we compare per template and folder, so a drop is found where it starts.
Shopify allows up to 100,000 redirects on its standard plans, and only from URLs that no longer exist, so the redirect map is built and tested before launch.
Approach
We work in fixed phases, so you know at every point what has been decided and what is still open:
Migration audit: data, plugins, subscriptions, content, URLs and processes, with scope and risks per decision.
Solution design: Shopify or Shopify Plus, data model, markets and the role of apps versus custom work.
Design and build, delivered in reviewable parts.
Trial migrations with real data, to measure completeness and duration.
QA on real processes: orders, payments, renewals, returns and tracking.
Cutover with data freeze, final sync and redirects, followed by monitoring after launch.
Plan backwards from your peak. To sell on Shopify on Black Friday 2027 (26 November), we count six weeks for the scan, four for scope, about twenty for build, migration and testing, and six for launch and hypercare, followed by a code freeze from early November. In practice: the decision has to be made in February 2027.
We migrate in three runs, never one: a dry run in a development store to find fields that arrive empty, a dress rehearsal with the full data set to time the import, and a delta run after the freeze. After launch our hypercare runs 90 days, starting with daily checks of orders per hour, checkout conversion, failed payments per method, 404s and support tickets.
